Colorful vibrant artwork by Dutch Artist

When I’m painting, I just go for it. To do that, I have to be in the zone and keep my mind clear and uncluttered. It’s not always as straightforward as it sounds. I work from an intuitive place. I have a conversation with my work and the painter inside me. This dialogue manifests itself on the paper in a dynamic interplay of strong graphic elements and fluid movement.

I come from an artistic family, but one was not supposed to go into the arts. So I’ve worked in the advertising and marketing business for a long time! In the evenings, I studied ceramic art, and a few years ago, I became a part-time painter. I work three days and paint two days, and I absolutely love it! Since then, I’ve been doing both, painting and making ceramic art, and I couldn’t be happier!

I am based in the Netherlands.
